Playfords work at One Aldwych saw the external façade lighting installation upgraded utilising state of the art components to illuminate this iconic building within central London, ensuring that the hotel continues to provide an exceptional experience for its guests and visitors to this busy part of the capital.
The architectural scope of the project was to upgrade the entire external façade lighting, including the supply and installation of lighting fixtures, lighting wiring systems and lighting control systems. Existing and aged lighting fixtures, wiring and controls systems were removed as the project progressed. Careful planning and regular meetings with the client team were necessary to ensure the hotel was able to operate and function in line with guest expectation in what is a prestigious area of London and close to many visitor attractions.
Due to the complex nature of the project we had to engage and manage a specialist rope access team to assist with the installation and positioning of the high-level facade lighting.
