After an incredible 43 years and 8 months of service, Andy Downing has retired from Playfords on 6th March 2026.
Andy began his journey with us in June 1982 as an Electrical Apprentice and has gone on to play a pivotal role in almost every part of the business. From the tools, to leadership, and most recently as a valued shareholder, Andy has been instrumental in shaping the success and culture of Playfords over more than four decades.
As he steps into a very well‑earned retirement, we want to express our deepest thanks for his exceptional dedication, loyalty, and contribution to the company. His commitment and professionalism have left a lasting legacy that will be felt for many years to come.
